Superman is DC comic’s most popular hero along with Batman, Wonder Woman and Flash. Many actors wanted to play Superman, both for their career and for a childhood dream that can never be forgotten. Actors like Kirk Alyn(1940's Superman), George Reeves(1950's Superman), Christopher Reeve(1978 Superman Movies), and Dean Cain(1993 Superman TV series) got all the publicity they need, whenever those actors name were said it cant be helped but to put "ahhh the one who played Superman". The new Superman movie "Superman Returns" will be shown on June of this year starring Brandon Routh.

1948 Superman Movie:

The 1948 Superman was directed by Spencer Benne and produced by Sam Katzman, starred Kirk Alyn as Clark Kent, Kal-el and Superman. The serial showed where Superman originated, and the Jor-el’s plan to transport all Kryptonians to Earth because of the imminent destruction of the planet Krypton. Kal-el(Krypthonian name of Superman) was adopted by a couple named Eben and Martha Kent and named Kal-el “Clark”. Clark's mother made his Superman costume from a fire-proof blanket that was wrapped on him while traveling to Earth from Krypton. Clark's father gave him the name "Superman" and tells him that he must use his powers to fight in the cause of truth, tolerance, and justice. Both of his foster-parents pass away before he adopts the Superman mantle

1952 Superman: The Adventures of Superman

1978 Superman Movie:

Superman The Movie starred by the late Christopher Reeve as the mild mannered Clark Kent and of course Superman, Gene Hackman as the evil Lex Luther and Margot Kidder as Lois Lane a Daily Planet Reporter. The movie music was conducted by John Williams that also makes the difference from the other Superman Movie. The movie begins on Krypthon Jor-els father of Clark unable to convince the ruling council of Krypton that their world will destroy itself soon, Jor-el sent Kal-el(Superman) to Earth where the yellow sun makes him more powerful. Superman uses his abilities to combat evil including the evil Lex Luther and other criminals. Lex Luther wanted to become the greatest criminal ever uses his intelligence to make the perfect crime. In the movie he used a military weapon to make the perfect and the worst crime ever. Because of Lex Luther’s crime Lois Lane died, it made Superman angry and tried to change the present with his might.

1993 Superman TV Series:
(Lois and Clark the new Adventure of Superman)

The Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman TV series premiered on September of 1993 starred by Dean Cain as
Clark Kent and Superman and Teri Hatcher as Lois Lane. Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman TV series is a Generation X type of Superman. It shows how Clark lives his life as an early adult man, a Daily Planet reporter and a super hero. With the unknowing help of Lois Lane, Clark Kent created Superman there in Metropolis after finding work at the world-famous Daily Planet newspaper, where he meets fellow reporter Lois Lane. After Superman's debut, Lois becomes infatuated with Superman and continues to reject Clark's romantic overtures due to past bad experiences with men.
